The Classic Rack concept was originally established in 1950. When the Carter's sold the company the name was changed to Classic Racks. We are very proud to continue production from the original designs and molds, as it was in the 50's and 60's with very high quality wood and other components. The unique patented "floating foot" design equally distributes weight to prevent roof damage. The racks feature either powder coated or polished aluminum brackets, stainless steel hardware, and high gloss spar varnish to accentuate the beauty of the wood, as well as to protect it from the weather. The wood can be stained any color to coordinates with your vehicle. MOST IMPORTANT - mounting our racks involves NO DRILLING! They are easily mounted and removed from any vehicle.
Classic Racks can be built for any size vehicle or trailer from as small as a "teardrop" to as large as an enclosed car hauler or motor home. Classic Racks make a great platform for viewing outdoor events such as car shows and parades. To do this we install a solid wood floor over the existing slats which can be covered with a nonskid rubber matting if desired.
We also make a "Surf Board Rack" and rack ladders which compliment and enhance the Classic Rack.
